He had graduated from Ege University Medical School in 1993. He worked as a faculty member between 1998 and 2007 in Dokuz Eylul University Medical School, Dept. of Emergency Medicine. He gained docent ship title in October, 2004. In the meantime, he completed the Fellowship Program in International Emergency Medicine Pennsylvania State University, Dept. of Emergency Medicine, Hershey, PA in 2005. He has served as a faculty member in Acıbadem University Medical School, Dept. of Emergency Medicine between 2009 and 2015. In 2011, he also participated in the refreshment work for the Joint Commission International (JCI) certification in the Acibadem Bakirkoy Hospital. At the end of 2015 he started serving in the Dept. of Emergency Medicine, Istanbul Education and Research Hospital, Fatih, Istanbul.

He had authored six original books and completed editorships, and around forty chapters, besides three translations. He was given lectures and joined in educational activities in various symposia and seminars. He was the “EM Section Editor” of the journal ‘Signa Vitae’ which is included in the SCI-Expanded list. He also serve as an instructor of the American Heart Association-based Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support Course.
Edited book projects entitled ‘Trauma Surgery’, ‘Poisoning in the Modern World’, and ‘Cardiac Diseases and Interventions in 21st Century’ and “Emergency Medicine and Trauma” were published in 2018 and 2019, with the collaboration of In Tech Open. His book projects entitled "Demystifying COVID-19: Understanding the disease, Its Diagnosis and Treatment” and “Cardiac Care and COVID-19: Perspectives in Medical Practice” were published by Bentham Science Publishers.
